The Introduction to Python course takes place on October 12th–13th, followed by Programming with Python on October 19th–20th, and Data Visualisation with Python on October 21st–22nd. This structured sequence enables participants to progress smoothly from basic programming principles to developing complex visualizations within just two weeks.
Getting Started with Shiny
If you're interested in creating interactive web applications, the Introduction to Shiny class on October 5th–6th is perfect for beginners. For those with existing knowledge, the Advanced Concepts in Shiny course scheduled for November 23rd–24th focuses on methods to enhance app maintainability, manage unpredictable user inputs, and optimize reactive programming techniques.
Visualisation and Statistics in R
Moving into November, Data Visualisation with ggplot2 will be held on the 2nd and 3rd, aimed at R users who want to develop skills in producing quality graphics suitable for publication. Following that, Statistical Modelling with R is on November 16th–17th, covering essential topics like hypothesis testing and regression.
Machine Learning with Tidymodels
The Machine Learning with Tidymodels course runs on November 4th–5th, followed by Advanced Machine Learning with Tidymodels on November 23rd–24th. Participants will learn the full machine learning workflow in R, from data preprocessing to model tuning.
Introduction to Git
For those looking to enhance their version control skills, the Introduction to Git class will occur in the mornings of November 16th–17th. Here, you’ll learn the fundamentals of version control and collaborative work practices using Git.
Autumn 2026 Course Schedule
Each course consists of two interactive sessions lasting three and a half hours each, with morning sessions from 09:00 to 12:30 and afternoon sessions from 13:30 to 17:00 (UK time). Complete schedules and session details can be found through the course links.
